Laconia Airport Open House. June 8.2013
Laconia Airport Open House was total success. The weather came out perfect and it was not hot or cold, which made it really comfortable for everyone. There were airplanes on display and most of them had the door open so kids and adults could climb up and feel how it is to sit at the controls. Helicopter rides were busy and they were continuing well after the event was over. The last year estimated crowd was 500, yesterday, based on counting parking cars, we estimated over 1500. This means 1000 + more people came to see what it is to run an airport and what the airport means for community, and mainly for education of our young future pilots or mechanics or maybe FBO owners. WinnAero tent was busy with educational activities, and our Raffle was also successful. We are looking forward to next year Open House and we are proud to be partners with Laconia Airport Authority, SkyBright FBO, and Emerson Aviation FBO.
